Strongly designed bathroom interior behind charming slate facade

Düsseldorfer Straße in Mettmann is characterised by historic houses with a slate front. Back then equipped with weaving chairs for the textile business of Neviandt & Pfleiderer, today architect Werner Sübai (HPP Architekten Düsseldorf) lives in one. Typically for the slate houses, which were built around 1800, all windows have mountain green shutters. The two-storey eavesdrop house with three canopies has been extensively renovated with attention to detail and in keeping with the substance. The charm of the past should be preserved despite the combination with modern materials. Exposed beams provide a view of the historic building structure. Plastered with light clay and fitted with fine wooden floors, the rooms look inviting and cosy. Favourite pieces, rarities and design objects dominate the tasteful interior design.

EDITION 400 light mirror, fittings and accessories as well as EDITION LIGNATUR washbasin in the Sübai architectural studio

The sophisticated interior design also continues in the bathrooms: Werner Sübai chose the EDITION LIGNATUR from KEUCO for the wash station, which was created in cooperation with Team 7, a natural wood furniture specialist. The solid wood bathroom furniture in light oak forms a harmonious unity with the floor. The light sail of the EDITION LIGNATUR light mirror brings the wash bay to life with enormous luminosity. In addition to the design, the sophisticated technology, which is controlled via the control panel, is also provided by KEUCO. In addition to different light colours and a dimming function, it also includes a practical mirror heater, which ensures a mist-free view after showering. The slim fittings and Accessories of the EDITION 400 round off the high-quality look.

Discreetly, IXMO fittings adorn the shower. With its unique combination of functions, KEUCO combines innovative technology and minimalist design. The number of products on the wall can thus be reduced to a minimum, and with a diameter or edge length of only 90 mm and a depth of only 80 mm, the visible parts are impressively small. Particularly attractive for the shower design: All chrome-plated fitting parts are the same size. A stylish bathroom interior behind a charming slate facade in Bergisches Land.
